"I personally believed that no one in the council/local government was concerned for local infrastructure but rather increase housing with a disregard for the above. I am relieved that there is someone that understands and may be the cause of change. I look forward to a better Harlow."

"I travel through Harlow each day to get to work, and am held up in traffic every time. There are several bottlenecks. Firstly the roundabout on the A414 where the Harlow road turns right. Very bad lane discipline means this is a battle field! Then the crawl into Harlow. On a good day, that is the worst, but on a bad day, the M11 is unaccessible. Today was one of those days. Returning from work, I crawl from the M11, with another battlefield where two lanes become one. The final crawl is past Sainsbury's towards the station. It is high time something was done to reduce congestion."
Rosemary Linton
"I have been a driving instructor in the town for 32 years and have seen the congestion get steadily worse. As people get impatient their driving standards drop increasing the hazards on the road as well."
F J Welbourn-Davies
"It is ridiculous that through traffic accessing the A414 and traffic for the industrial areas have to go through the town."
Colin Perry
"I strongly support additional junction to M11 for Harlow. Harlow population is growing fast with the new developments and it is very essential to avoid major traffic disaster in future. Thank you."
Prakash Shende
"I think having extra junction for Harlow can be integrated in the new plans drafted for Stansted Airport. Apart from Junctions 8a and 8b, junction 7A will be very useful."
Bhushan Patil
"We need a different access to the M11, when ever 1 traffic light goes out on junction 7 it's total mayhem for every one trying to get to work has taken me before over an hour to get to the M11."
Ergun Halil
"A northern relief road would significantly reduce the congestion in both harlow and the surrounding villages. Roydon in particular is grid locked at peak times due to traffic following the route through harlow, roydon and stansted abbots in order to avoid the congestion around vellisy avenue and harlow station. Now is the time for the government to act in order to bring some sort of quality of life to those people affected by the mess that is called harlows traffic systemn, and prior to the construction of thousands of homes which through ill considered plans are due to blight our beautifull countryside."
David Davison
"The traffic in Harlow is some of the worse I have ever seen. We have the main A414 going through the town as single carrageway. There are no through roads in this town as duel carrageway."
Ronald David Lucia
"Not only is it a waste of our time sitting and queing in Harlows traffic hot spot, but whilst sitting there we are polluting our local enviroment where we not only have to travel through but also have to live. This is a desperatly need venture that would not be a waste of time or money, unlike all of the safety/speed humps that are around which do almost nothing to control the speed of vehicles, but only end up damaging vehicles that have to go over them repeatedly."
Philip Wright
"Traffic congestion in Harlow is shocking. Empty bus lanes make queing even more frustrating."
John Weeks
"I live on the south side of town and am forced to cross over to the A414 by-pass to get to work in Great Amwell. It takes me twice as long to traverse the three miles across harlow than it does to complete the remaining six miles to work. On a similar subject has anyone seen a bus use the bus lanes (except for central avenue, which is now often a car park since they were introduced) I haven't!!! Yet this stupid council is planning on wasting more millions on building more. In my opinion the money would be better spent on building lay-bys at bus-stops so that the buses don't hold up the rest of the traffic!"
Ron Johnson
"In the mean time how about using some of the bus lanes that are never used"
